All non-fish orders are charged a flat $12.99 Shipping and Handling fee. We also offer a Federal Express Two Day Shipping Option for just $26.00. If 2 day is over $10 more we will make the determination as to send it two day or three day. Orders containing fish are shipped FedEx Overnight and are charged $75 for S/H.
Please note: When FREE SHIPPING is offered it DOES NOT apply to fish. We must ship fish FED-EX overnight and therefore incur additional shipping charges. All delivery services are adding surcharges to their prices to cover the gas increases. This is beyond our control, but we will do everything we can to keep the price as low as possible.

Most orders to Hawaii ship with our standard shipping charges but on orders containing some pond supplies because of the weight we need to charge extra shipping. For Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico additional shipping charges may be applied and free shipping doesn’t apply due to the costs to ship to your states.When you input your order we will call or email you if extra shipping costs apply.
Note: All fish purchases will be shipped via FedEx Overnight and will carry a separate shipping charge of $75. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.
We do our best to ship your order 1-4 days after receiving it. Orders placed are sent at the proper shipping time according to the USDA planting zone for your area, unless you state otherwise in the comments section when placing your order. If the proper time for your zone has passed your order will be processed and sent. The dates listed below are approximate. We want to make sure you receive your pond plants healthy so we estimate a shipping guide according to the zones. Orders can be sent before your proper planting time, but doing so will void our plant guarantee. You need to add a comment on your order to SHIP NOW, or we will hold the order until zone appropriate. We ship according to the climate zone that you are located in. Please check the provided map below to locate the hardiness zone for your area. If you select 2 day transit late in the week your order will be held until the first of the following week to ship so that it doesn’t sit in a warehouse or in a truck over the weekend.
IMPORTANT! Effective Spring 2014 – Due to the colder than normal spring, we’re shipping orders a week to two weeks later than the dates below (Except for Zones 10 – 7, those are shipping now). We will evaluate our shipping schedule based on weather conditions on a week-by-week basis. Also, remember we ship Monday through Wednesday.

Our shipping schedule is approximate for most hardy pond plants. Tropical pond plants are sometimes held longer due to weather patterns in some zones. During shipping season we do our best to check weather conditions to determine the best time to ship your plants so its safe for planting them outside. If the time to ship to your zone has passed, your order will be processed and shipped. During the busiest time of the season we do our best to ship your order as soon as possible. If we receive your order and are unable to ship so you will receive it before the weekend, it will be held until the following week. If you want your order shipped prior to your proper planting zone, be sure and add a comment on your order, or it will be held until it is safe to plant in your planting zone. If you request your order be sent a certain week we will accommodate you the best we can. Be sure to add any special instructions to your order in the comments section. Also, please include your phone number for the shipping agent or if we should need to contact you with questions concerning your order.
We ship via Fed-Ex or USPS Priority Mail depending on transit times. Fed-Ex does not deliver to PO Boxes, please include your street address, hard goods are usually shipped Fed-Ex but occasionally USPS Priority Mail. Orders containing live plants, snails or tadpoles are sent Monday thru Wednesday to guarantee 2-3 day arrival before the weekend. Orders containing no live products will be sent out after processing the order via Fed-Ex Ground or USPS Priority Mail. (1-4 day transit time, depending on your location.) Heavy or large dry good items may be sent separately from pond plants, as to not harm the pond plants. Tracking numbers are e-mailed to you once your order has been shipped. We ship across the U.S. and incur no problems with the plants arriving healthy.
If you are in California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon or Washington it will take 3-4 days to get your order. Florida, East Coast, and Midwest typically arrive in 2-3 days. This is standard for all companies shipping plants and normally we encounter no problems with the plants.
If you need your plants sooner or if you are concerned about them arriving in good condition you may up-grade your shipping to FED-EX Guaranteed 2-Day delivery or FED-EX Overnight is also an option. You must contact us atcustomersupport@DragonflyAquatics.com to place your order to select a different shipping option than what we offer on the site. On our site we offer the standard shipping which is either FED-EX ground or USPS Priority Mail. We also offer FED-EX guaranteed two day, although Free Shipping does not apply to this selection. Fedex guarantee two day is deliverable only Monday thru Friday. You may select either one. If we are offering Free Shipping the system will automatically deduct the shipping charges. We can quote you an estimate on the delivery charges if you would like your order shipped overnight/next day delivery or guaranteed 2 day with Saturday delivery if you call us. These options will be charged separately and only by a telephone call. If you have a FED-EX account we’ll gladly charge to your account. Just put your information in the comments section of your order. We do not ship UPS only Fed-Ex or USPS.
Occassionally we offer free coupons, but you will need to sign up to receive the newsletter with coupon offers. Coupons for discounts, etc. are offered to our customers regularly. We keep our pond plants and products at the lowest possible price and charge to ship them rather than adding the extra cost of shipping to the products and offering free shipping. We offer free shipping often on orders over a certain amount. This DOES NOT include fish as they require special handling and shipping procedures that require an additional fee to ship. Snails and tadpoles are shipped with FED-EX Ground or USPS Priority Mail, the same as the pond plants.
We ship healthy pond plants, if there is a problem with your plants, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving them and we will correct the problem as quickly as possible. All pond plants are shipped bare root or in mesh net pots. All plants are shipped direct from grower.
